A Google Interview Warmup alternative
Interview Warmup was free, English-only and browser-based: you answered recorded questions and got insights on your wording. If you used it to rehearse, the closest replacements are a real practice call with a partner, or an AI interviewer agent. DEBOB2 adds the missing piece for language learners: a short answer at your level, in your target language, while the call is running.
A Final Round AI alternative for learners
Final Round AI is a live copilot made for real interviews in English. DEBOB2 uses the same teleprompter idea but points it at training: CEFR-levelled answers, translation, your own prepared story, nine languages, and terms that forbid use in a real interview. If you want a copilot for a real interview, DEBOB2 is not the tool.
Yoodli
Yoodli scores how you speak: pace, filler words, eye contact. It does not tell an A2 learner what to say in German. Many learners use both: DEBOB2 for the words, Yoodli for the delivery.
ChatGPT or Gemini voice
Great for a free chat in German, and we recommend it. It will not join your Meet call, will not keep a fixed level, and will not return your prepared answer word for word. DEBOB2 is built for that structured, repeated rehearsal.
A human trainer
Still the best feedback there is. DEBOB2 makes the trainer's time count: the trainer plays the interviewer, the learner repeats as often as needed for a few cents, and the trainer corrects what matters.
DEBOB2 is a rehearsal tool. Using it in a real interview is not what it is for, and we say so.
